Alpine skiing in Pyrenees

Grandvalira is the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees, offering around 200 km of well-maintained slopes. You can even ski all the way to the French border!

Did you know that Andorra’s average elevation is 1,996 meters? This small country boasts 65 peaks over 2,000 meters high. It’s no surprise that Andorra la Vella holds the title of the highest capital city in Europe!

Ski trip description

You have the chance to spend your entire days in the fresh mountain air, gliding down the slopes and taking in breathtaking views. What could be better than taking a chairlift up the mountain and skiing down with endless snowy peaks and ski runs stretching out before you?

Grandvalira ski resort is located in Andorra, a small yet charming country about the size of Hiiumaa, right between Spain and France. The resort boasts 200 km of well-prepared slopes, catering to skiers of all levels. You’ll find long, gentle 6 km descents, as well as steep and challenging black runs for more advanced skiers. The resort features 70 ski lifts and plenty of cozy mountain cafés, where you can relax on sunny terraces while admiring the stunning Alpine scenery. The highest point in the resort, Pas de la Casa, located near the French border, sitting at 2,640 meters above sea level. You can find the resort map HERE.

Every two years, the Alpine Skiing World Cup stages an event in the town of Soldeu, right within the Grandvalira resort. Many visitors enjoy watching the races from sunlit terraces, but you’ll have the unique opportunity to ski the very same slopes as the world’s best athletes!

Beyond skiing, you can explore Andorra la Vella, a renowned shopping paradise, just a 15-minute bus ride from our town. We may organize a group visit during the week for those interested. For relaxation, our hotel spa offers a small pool, jacuzzi, and saunas. The hotel also has a gym and a sports pub, complete with a kids’ play area, billiards, darts, and gaming consoles—ensuring entertainment for all ages!

For who?

This trip welcomes skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Every day, beginner ski and snowboard lessons are available for adults and children in Grandvalira, while experienced riders can explore the long descents of the Pyrenees.

Even if you’re not a big ski fan but love mountains, you’re welcome to join! Take a scenic lift ride to stunning heights, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of mountain cafés, or explore nearby towns like Soldeu and Encamp via shuttle bus.
